SWIMS
SWIMS is a new Indie rock band based in Brooklyn. Their beat-driven, synth-infused performances combine the untamed energy of a punk band with the spontaneity of jazz. They have released 2 singles which have gained traction on spotify, and are planning on releasing more music in the upcoming months. Emerging from Boston’s underground house show scene and playing at venues as well as house shows in NYC, SWIMS developed an energetic, genre-defying sound and has gained a growing following. The band, Ely Perlman (Guitar and Vocals), Shai Yuval (Drums) and Yoni Ben Ari (Bass) first crossed paths playing together in the NYC jazz scene. After playing a spontaneous improvised show at a party, Swims was created.
Friendy
Friendy are a NYC-based, Jerusalem-bred band. Friendy is the world’s first Anime Jazz band- with its music fusing supercharged rock with contemporary jazz, while drawing inspiration from animated Japanese TV shows and films. The band has released it’s debut album, “Friendy Fire”, on February 19th, 2021 and is set to release their new album summer of 2025. Friendy’s members have been playing together for over 13 years and with time they have created unique compositional and improvisational styles, inspired by Shostackovich, Allan Holdsworth and the melodicism of anime OP’s. Friendy’s members have been living in NYC and Boston for the past 3 years and have performed regularly on the scene. They have played or recorded with the likes of Kenny Garrett, Mark Turner, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Dave Douglas, Alex Sipiagin, Andy Mckee (bass), Jonathan Finlayson, and more. They’ve also performed in venues and Festivals in the United States, Europe and Israel.
Shai & Hila
Ambient and electronic storytelling is the driving force behind “Moment In Time”, an experimental album between NYC-based musicians Hila Rabby and Shai Yuval, who are immersed in the prolific Brooklyn music scene. The album is an echo of the journey between the twos transition from a relationship to a friendship. Highly emotional states are felt in the songs that capture an uncompromising and unique fragility that exists between the two. A little about us. Hila Rabby is a singer and composer working on the scene in Brooklyn and collaborating with many artists, she recently released her first solo album “Visions” which received high acclaim. Shai Yuval is a drummer and composer who is highly emersed in the Brooklyn indie music scene, playing in multiple bands as well as being a producer of this album and others.
